1994-LOG PINEAPPLE BLOCK-IN THE HOOP

 "In the Hoop" piecing is a great way to achieve perfectly straight seams and piece intersections. The Log Pineapple Block is a perfect candidate for this method, with it's narrow "log" pieces and small triangles plus there is less cutting of pieces needed with my method.

This is one of my favorites of all the quilt blocks I've done. I love how many different looks are created with just a rotation of the block. Below are several combination options for this block. Of course, it's all done In the Hoop! Yay!

The block design is 3.5 x 3.5, with a finished size of 3.0 x 30. There are approximately 2, 800 stitches in the block.

Here are some possible layouts for block, combining 4 blocks for a finished block size of 6 x 6. Add sashings, as shown directly below) to create an even larger block:

Available Formats: DST, EXP, JEF, PES, VIP, VP3

DST format may work if your machine format is not available in the design set.
